A confident smile is a good smile

What is Smile Design and why people do it?

You may not realize it, but your smile is the first thing that people notice about you. For many people who are self-conscious about their smile, it can be tough to laugh, smile, meet new people, or even go out in public. For others, they may just want that perfect smile that they have always dreamed of.

Over the years that we have been doing cosmetic dentistry and Smile Design, we have seen the major differences in personality and boosts in confidence in patients that have walked out of our office with a new smile.

What is Smile Design?

Smile design is cosmetic dentistry that uses crowns, bridges, and veneers to create your dream smile.

What can Smile Design fix?

Overall, Smile Design can create a smile that you love. One that gives you confidence.

Smile Design can correct everything from minor imperfections, such as whiteness or brightness, to more substantial issues like missing or disproportional teeth.

What is the Smile Design process?

The Smile Design process ensures that you end up with the right smile for you.

  • - Discuss expectations and your dream smile. Here you meet with the dentist or a restorative hygienist to discuss what you like and dislike about your smile.
  • - Impressions and wax-up. After your initial meeting, impressions are taken so that the lab can create a wax model of what your final smile will look like.
  • - Teeth preparation. Your next appointment is for preparing your teeth for your new smile. This will include shaping to make room for the veneers, crown, or bridge. During this appointment we also take another impression that is sent to the lab to make sure that the smile that they create fits perfectly into your mouth.
  • - Test-drive your smile. A temporary acrylic version of your smile is created so that you can take it for a ‘test-drive’.
  • - Cementing. Once the lab has created the final version of your new smile, we book an appointment with you to cement and secure it to your existing teeth.
  • - Caring for your new smile. Once you have your new smile, we provide you with all the tricks and tools to keep it clean.
